HYPERVISCOSITY SYNDROME AND EFFECT OF HOMOEOPATHIC REMEDIES ON IT

Blood is our fluid connective tissue and blood is made to move.

If blood viscosity rises there are few signs to show the rise: - e.g. lethargy, confusion, cognition decreased, CNS disturbance, chest pain, abdominal pain, faints, visual disturbance.

Hyper viscosity may cause spontaneous G.I of G.U bleeding.

CAUSES OF HIGH BLOOD VISCOSITY: - Very high red cell count, white cell count or plasma components usually Immunoglobulins, in myeloma or Waldenstroms macroglobulinemia.

DRUGS: - oral contraceptives, diuretics, chemotherapy, erythropoietin etc.

The syndrome occurs when blood thickens so much that it doesn't flow freely through the blood vessels.

Hypergammaglobulinemia is the most common cause of Hyper Viscosity Syndrome. More than 30% of all Waldenstroms macroglobulinemia patients develop HVS at some point in their life because of the large shaped IgM pentamers that are highly viscous.

Myelomas are the second most common cause of HSV.

CONCLUSION: -

Homoeopathic mode of treatment follows the norm of Similia Similibus Curentur. This pathy treats the patient as a whole, not only the disease condition. The disease it's sign n symptoms and further complications can be prevented by homoeopathic medicines.
