HANTAVIRUS PULMONARY SYNDROME

Hantaviruses are from the family of Hantaviridae, mainly spread by the rodents through urine, saliva, touch and bites. They are causing Hantavirus pulmonary syndrome.

SIGN AND SYMPTOMS

• Fever
• Muscle pain
• Headache
• Cough and shortness of breath
• Nausea and vomiting
• Diarrhea
• fatigue

DIAGNOSIS

The symptoms is similar to influenza however, a person which has been exposed to the rodent recently or staying forest and taken contaminated food with above symptoms is highly suggest of HPS. If the person has the symptoms and it get worse day by day they must immediately seek doctor in order to prevent the fatality.

PREVENTION

• Prevent access of rodents by closing the hole.
• Wash hands with soap and clean water.
• Coverage of the garbage box so, rodent can’t access.
• Spray disinfectant the area they nested.
• Using mask while cleaning the home.

ARSENICUM ALBUM: this is a good medicine for HPS the following symptoms will help; High temperature. Periodicity marked with adynamia. Septic fevers. Intermittent. Paroxysms incomplete, with marked exhaustion. Hay-fever. Cold sweats. Complete exhaustion. Great restlessness. Great heat about 3 am.

EUPATORIUM PERFOLIATUM: a fantastic medicine in influenza like symptoms where the breaking bone like symptoms are more prominent along with the Perspiration relieves all symptoms except headache. Chill between 7 and 9 am, preceded by thirst with great soreness and aching of bones. Nausea, vomiting of bile at close of chill or hot stage; throbbing headache. Knows chill is coming on because he cannot drink enough.
