An Anal Fistula is a small tunnel that develops between the end of the bowel and the skin near the anus (where poo leaves the body).
A patient has a past history of perianal abscess, frequently forming and rupturing the discharging point open. It fails to heal .

Calcarea sulphurica -Useful in supparative processes which occurs after pus has found a vent.There is tendency a suppuration of thick, yellow, lumpy and often bloody pus.Given for unhealthy skin and all the wounds have a tendency to heal slowly.Very useful for pus-like, slimy discharge from the bowels and painful abscesses about the anus.
Hepar sulphuris -There is great sensitiveness to all impression with tendency to suppuration.Useful for splinter-like pains and craving for sour things.Given for Patient who is very chilly, but is better in damp weather and wrapping up the body and head.Useful for ulcers which are surrounded by small pimples.
Silicea terra -Useful for suppurative processes which is cause by the effects of vaccination and other aliments associated with opus formation. Given when Stools is retained for fear of pain. Also recommended when Fistula-in-ano alternates with chest symptoms.Also useful for intensely painful,protruding haemorrhoids during stool.
Ratanhia peruviana -Useful for fistula in ano with constriction in the rectum, as if sharp splinters of broken glasses were present. There is dry heat in the rectum with sudden knife stitches.Useful for fissure in the anus with great constriction, burning like fire.Given when stools are forced out with great effort.
Nitricun acidum - Indicated when there is great straining but little passes.Useful for bowels which are constipated with fissures in the anus. Though the stools are soft, they tear the anus.There is Violent cutting pains after stools.Usefull for bright and profuse haemorrhages from the bowel after stool.Also for prolapsed of anus with burning in the anus after urination.
Causticum -Useful for sore and burning anus.Useful for hard, rough stool covered with mucous .Very useful for anal prolapsed while coughing.There is itching in the rectum which is better by cold water.Given when anus is insensible to solid stools.Very useful for large haemorrhoids impede the stool.Also useful for partial paralysis of rectum.
