ABDOMEN COUGH

A cough is a sudden expulsion of air through the large breathing passages which can help clear them of fluids, irritants, foreign particles and microbes and is mostly due to respiratory cause. But there are cough which are due to abdominal cause and ther are usually chronic cough.

ABDOMINAL COUGH IS A CHARACTERSTIC FEATURE OF FEW DISEASES.

They are:

GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disorder)

PND (post nasal drip) syndrome

HOMOEOPATHIC APPROACH

Few homoeopathic medicine which can be thought of in management of case are:

ARSENIC ALB: Abdomen swollen and painful. Pain as from a wound in abdomen on coughing. Cough worse after midnight; worse lying on back. Expectoration scanty, frothy. Cough dry, as from sulphur fumes; after drinking.

BELLADONNA: Cutting pain across; stitches in left side of abdomen, when coughing, sneezing, or touching it. Cough with pain in left hip. Barking cough, whooping cough, with pain in stomach before attack, with expectoration of blood.

PULSATILLA: Great soreness of epigastrium. Urine emitted with cough. Painful, distended; loud rumbling. Pressure as from a stone. Colic, with chilliness in evening.

OTHERS: Nux vom., Sepia, Squilla, Veratrum alb., etc.
