Water brash occurs when a person produces an excessive amount of saliva that mixes with stomach acids that have risen to the throat. water brash can Give a bad taste in the mouth.The salivary glands tend to produce too much saliva. The excess saliva can combine with stomach acids and cause heartburn. It is usually seen in gastroesophageal refluxes. water brash is accompanied by excessive salivation while regurgitation.There may be associated burning ,and sour eructations which leads to a bad taste in the mouth.
